27th NovYear 10 Netball SuccessMayfield's Year 10 Netball team played their second match of the season on Tuesday 26th November 2019. Their opponents; Oak’s Park School. The game started very slow and it took time for Mayfield to settle in the first and second quarters. However, during the third quarter of the game, Mayfield began to refine some of their basic errors to win the quarter 5-3. The final quarter was very close, however Mayfield dominated the play and won 6-4. Player of the match was Leila and Coach’s player was Malaika. This is the first win of the season and hopefully there are many more to come!
26th NovMuseum of London - Takeover DayOn Friday 22nd November 2019 our Museum Champions, attended the Museum of London to take part in a Takeover Day which was organised to aid the involvement of young people and families with Museums. "To share that our students were an absolute asset to our school, and the values we all share, is an understatement - they were that and so much more! " says Ms H. Sambi, one of our Assistant Headteachers. We are so proud of the professionalism, kindness and patience all our students displayed, and we are very much looking forward to the upcoming plans we have for this year-long partnership with the Museum. 25th NovYear 11 Netball Success Vs. Oak's ParkMayfield's Year 11 Netball team had a great start to this season with a win against Oak’s Park School on Thursday 21st November 2019. The game got off to a good start with some great shooting by Niran and Shanique. As the second and third quarter progressed Mayfield's defence had to work hard to keep the opposition's goals away. The final quarter saw Mayfield’s best play of the game with the most amount of goals scored. Mayfield beat Oak’s Park School 28-3. Player of the match was Shanique and Coach’s player was Khatira. Well done, ladies!
22nd NovSixth Form Open EveningWe are pleased to share that Mayfield hosted another successful Sixth Form Open Evening on Wednesday 20th November 2019. It was fantastic to see not just our Mayfield Year 11 students but also external candidates interested in their Year 12 options. We are also very excited about building on our Sports Academy success with NASSA and Leyton Orient FC. Thank you to all who attended and made this open evening a great one.

6th NovMayfield Science Faculty introduces TassomaiThe Mayfield Science faculty introduces Tassomai Tassomai is a learning program for GCSE Science. It works by breaking down specific content into bite-sized chunks and producing focus area quizzes for each student. Students only need to complete a few minutes on Tassomai each day as they will be set daily goals. This will enable students to regularly keep up with their targets and review the knowledge required for exams.
