27th JunTransitioning into Year 7On behalf of the school Mr G. Ferrar would like to thank all the parents who attended the new intake evening last night. It was a great turn out and a positive start to the school-parent relationship that is required to help our students reach their potential. We are looking forward to seeing the students on transition days next week, and cannot wait for them to officially join us in September. 21st JunDanbury 2019On Wednesday 12th June 2019, a group of our Year 7 students had the opportunity to take part in a three-day outdoor activity trip in Danbury, Essex. This included camping away for two nights and partaking in various sports and games. This year it was Ms S. Smith and Mrs M. Hollingsworth who took their year group to Danbury. The students were divided into 10 groups, each with a Mayfield teacher as their leader. Activities included: Quad Biking, Mountain Biking, Archery, and Ariel Trekking to name a few.
20th JunEssex Cup Cricket vs. St. MartinsOn Monday 17th June 2019, Mayfield's year 9/10 Cricket team were up against St. Martins for an Essex Cup match. It was a fantastic game but unfortunately Mayfield did not come out victorious. The final score was: St. Martins, 103 runs for 7 wickets - Mayfield, 85 all out. Well done to all involved; sportsmanship was at its best.
