28th JunYear 11 PromOn Thursday 28th June 2018, the former Year 11 students had their Prom on the Tereza Joanne boat docked in East London. It was an excellent event and was a pleasure to see the Year 11's all grown up looking very fashionable and mature. Please see the photos below.
27th JunNational Writing Day 2018Wednesday 27th June 2018 is National Writing Day and Mayfield's KS3 English classes have followed the English and Media Centre's "Let them Loose" challenge, a challenge which requires students to write freely about anything they desire, or write a piece of text based on images/phrases displayed on the board in their classroom.
22nd JunDrew Sullivan visits Basketball TrainingOn Monday 18th June 2018, Professional Basketball player Drew Sullivan attended Mayfield School's Basketball training session. Drew Sullivan, who was the England Basketball team Captain last season, coached 15 Mayfield students Who attend the club.
12th JunExams falling on Eid"What happens if an Exam takes place on Eid?" We understand it is Eid on Friday 15th June 2018, however, all students MUST still attend any exams they have on the 15th June. This includes all of Year 11 who have a Science exam. Unfortunately the school has no control over when exams take place. If students miss their exam on Friday, they will get 0 marks for that paper and cannot sit at another time.
