27th SepMy London StoryMayfield's Year 9 students have been given the opportunity to be a part of 'My London Story' working with The Museum of London. 'My London Story' is a week-long project aiming to understand young people's experiences of London and explore their sense of belonging and identity in the city. Being part of this programme, where we have been selected amongst 10 schools in London, is a compliment to our school community and diversity. Out of the 10 schools selected, the story of four schools will be documented and Mayfield's journey with 'My London Story' will be one of the four schools documented. This, again, is a great opportunity for us as a school community and for our young people to shine and share their important stories of identity.
13th SepHM Queen Elizabeth IIThe staff, pupils, governors and families of Mayfield School are deeply saddened at the news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time. Redbridge Council has opened up six sites for Books of Condolence at Central Library, Hainault Library, Goodmayes Library, Wanstead Library, Woodford Green Library and Valentines Mansion. There will be a floral tribute site on South Lawn at Valentines Park (behind Valentines Mansion).
