On the 20^th June 2018, 22 Mayfield students attended the Essex cricket ground where they got to watch a game, meet some of the players and receive some training from the first team coaches. 

The boys were excellently behaved and a credit to the school. Cricket enthusiasts may recognise the player pictured with the students as ex-England international Wicket Keeper James Foster.
