On Friday 22^nd June 2018, ten Year 7 girls were selected to go to a Hockey Festival at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre as a reward for all of their hard work and commitment to extra-curricular clubs. This was a fantastic day enjoyed by all.

The girls got to watch England women vs. Spain in a warm up game for the Hockey World Cup. They also got to meet some of the England players and play a few hockey matches too. The girls did extremely well, seeing as some of them have never played hockey before, and some of our players were encouraged to join a local club.  These ten girls were superb ambassadors for Mayfield and I hope they continue to be involved in sport next year.
