The Museum of London is excited to announce that it is embarking on a yearlong partnership with Mayfield School. As part of this partnership the Museum of London will be working with selected students called Museum Champions across Year 7, 8, 9, and 12 during the 2019-2020 academic year.

The first big project the Museum Champions will be working towards is a takeover day at the Museum of London on Friday 22^nd November 2019.

In preparation for this day selected Museum Champions were part of the first training session on Wednesday 30^th October with Laura Turnage, Secondary Schools Programme Manager at the Museum of London. Our Museum Champions were selected due to their diligence and recommendation by their Year Group Leader. The Museum Champions will be delivering object tours and hosting arts and crafts activities for other primary schools visiting the Museum that day. 

On Wednesday 30^th October the Museum offered Mayfield School the opportunity to watch their performance highlighting Black History Month. We look forward to hosting this event again next year.
