On Wednesday 1st December 2021, 30 of our Year 10 students took part in an NHS Next Gen workshop - through the Talent Foundry Trust.

They spent time with and spoke to nurses from different areas including Paediatric Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Adult Community Nursing.

The students worked on case studies for community patients and worked out the best methods to support them in their homes. They learnt basic sign language and the benefits of this. They explored the qualities a nurse and medical professional would need to go in to the world of nursing and medical care. They also analysed data looked at requirements and patients for experimental drugs trials and the pathways in to nursing.
